And what an incredible reunion it was!
The East High School Class of 1986 40th Reunion Weekend has officially come to a close, and our hearts are full.
What we experienced together was so much more than a reunion. It was laughter, love, memories, fellowship, reconnection, celebration—and the undeniable presence of God.
​
For one unforgettable weekend, old friends became classmates again. We hugged, we laughed, we reminisced, we honored those no longer with us, and we celebrated the journey that has brought us from the halls of East High to where we are today.
​
Throughout it all, one phrase seemed to capture the moment perfectly: THIS IS IT! And it truly was.
​
To every classmate, spouse, guest, friend, volunteer and supporter who helped make our 40th Reunion so special—THANK YOU. You brought the energy, the love and the Golden Bear spirit that made this celebration one we will never forget.
​
Most of all, we give God the glory for allowing us to come together once again, for the lives represented in the room, for the friendships renewed, and for the blessing of simply being here to celebrate 40 years later.
​
The reunion may be over, but the memories—and the connections we renewed—are just beginning.

The 40th Reunion may have come to an end, but the East High spirit and the memories we created will carry on! What a blessing it was to reconnect, laugh, reminisce, worship, celebrate, and simply enjoy being together again.
​
As we return to our families and everyday lives, may we hold on to the renewed friendships and special moments that reminded us just how meaningful our East High family truly is.
​
We’re already looking forward to the day when the Golden Bears gather again—older, wiser, even more grateful, and ready to make another chapter of unforgettable memories.
